FAQ

Can I claim a Health Fund Rebate?

Yes, you will receive a receipt that can be submitted to your health fund for payment.

What payment options are available?

I accept cash, cheques, eftpos, Visa or Mastercard.

How long does a massage last?

Massage times can be 1 hour or 1.5 hours. The massage will end 5minutes before to enable you to get dressed and complete the transaction.

What to expect from your first massage therapy session?

Upon arrival you will be asked to complete a health history form. The therapist will then discuss the reason for your visit with you and determine areas that need to be addressed. This may involve structural assessment and range of motion tests. The therapist will then leave the room to allow you to undress and lay on the table with a towel or sheet covering you.

Do I have to be naked during my massage?

No, all clients are requested to leave their underwear on, bra is optional. All clients are draped (with a towel or sheet) and only the area being massaged is uncovered.

What do I do during the massage?

The therapist will direct you if she needs you to move a limb or change position. You can close your eyes and relax or talk if you wish.

Will the massage hurt?

Sometimes, areas that have an injury or are dysfunctional may be painful to touch. The therapist will work with you within your pain threshold.

Will I be sore after the massage?

Its not unusual to feel tenderness for up to 48 hours after a treatment.

How often should I get a massage?

In the beginning it may be weekly to help with injuries or postural dysfunction. Regular massage helps to keep on top of the stresses we impose on the body in day to day life. Most of my clients have either fortnightly or monthly appointments but any massage is better than none.

When should I not get a massage?

If you have fever, cold, flu or any contagious infection, please do not come! There are some medical conditions that may require a clearance from your Medical Practitioner.

Do you provide appointment reminders?

I will send you a text msg reminder the day before your appointment and require you to reply with a Y or N. Please do not think that I will assume you will be coming if you haven’t replied.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

I ask for 24 hour’s notice of cancellation. Obviously, this may not be possible in the case of illness etc in that case a text message or phone call (leave a message) to cancel ASAP .For clients who fail to show up on repeated occasions the fee for the appointment will be required and failing that no further appointments will be scheduled.

Do you accept 'walk-in' appointments?

No, bookings are required.
