The clinic is situated in the Maitland CBD at 11 Bourke St. Teresa is a diploma qualified therapist and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. She is constantly updating her knowledge and passes this on in her treatments.

All treatments are tailored to each client and may include various techniques.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

The lymphatic system is important for our immune function by filtering viruses and pathogens via the lymph nodes. It maintains our body fluid levels, removes cellular waste and absorbs fats. A lymphatic system that is sluggish can have a buildup of toxic fluid and this influences every other system in the body. Lymphatic Massage helps by clearing the pathways where the lymphatic fluid flows. This massage is very gentle but may have profound effects.
Common complaints may include: any swelling, post-surgery, including tummy tucks, liposuction, lipedema, lymphedema, poor circulation, frequent illness, or autoimmune diseases. The lymphatic system is deeply connected to every other system in the body and will have some involvement with all our ailments. MLD is beneficial to everyone!

Glymphatic

The glymphatic system has only being discovered in the last 5 years. It eliminates proteins and metabolites from the brain mostly during sleep. Blockages in the pathways has been contributed to some diseases of the brain and fluid buildup in sinuses, memory loss, and cognitive decline. Common complaints may include sinus pain, headaches, neck pain, foggy brain, and eye/vision issues.

Remedial

Remedial massage is beneficial in providing sustained management and relief of muscular soreness and stiffness. It improves circulation and blood flow, massage can help accelerate the healing of sprains, strains, and other muscular skeletal disorders. Massage is also very beneficial before an Osteo or Chiro appointment Ideal for Sciatica, Upper and lower back pain, hips shoulder injuries, frozen shoulder, leg aches & pains muscle cramps, feet, plantar fasciitis, neck pain & tightness, scoliosis, joint pains as well as general muscle aches and lifestyle stresses.

Cupping

Cupping Therapy helps to release tissue deep into layers using negative pressure as opposed to positive pressure associated with massage. Cupping brings blood flow to the area and is amazing for aiding with pain after exercise. It can be used on many different clients with great results. I very rarely use static cupping so very few cupping marks. Ideal for Myofascial release, tight and sore areas, and sensitive individuals. Frequently used in a remedial treatment.

Bioelectric Meridian Therapy

Normatec Compression Therapy

Normatec compression is often used for lymphatic drainage to mechanically work the system to increase circulation. There are 3 different areas, Legs, hips or arms. This is an add-on treatment.
